How Is Your Water Element Flowing?

Water Element Qualities

When your water energy is frozen you might feel stuck.

I thought you’d like to like to know how you can tell if your Water Element needs some support. You’ll probably see yourself in some of these examples.

Let’s talk about the Water Element as it relates to the Chinese Five Element System. According to this system, Water has 4 basic principles that need to be in balance within you.

Chloe Wordsworth, who developed the Resonance Repatterning® process, uses the analogy of water coming out of a shower head to describe these four principles:

First, water needs to be available: If you’re trying to take a shower and you turn on the faucet and no water comes out then you’ve got to see whether you’re hooked up to the water supply or whether you’ve got a leak in your pipes, or maybe even your well has run dry.

The principle of availability correlates to being able to access your power, your energy, your drive, your money, knowledge, and wisdom. You hear people say, “I feel drained,” or “I’m running on empty.” Or “Money runs through my fingers like water.” You can’t access what’s not there so you need to replenish yourself in some way, and you need to make sure that you are a strong container to hold your power, energy money, or wisdom so you can keep something in reserve, and be like a bottomless well of energy, power, money and wisdom.

The second principle is that water needs to have flow and power behind it. If there’s just a trickle of water coming out of your shower, or it comes and goes without warning then it’s not really doing its job, is it? It’s the same thing with you. Consistency is the key. If you want to lose weight, save money, keep your house clutter free, or raise well-adjusted children, you’ve got to be consistent.

Here are some clues to tell if you need to optimize your Water Element’s availability: If you are inconsistent in your exercise routine, healthy eating habits, or saving money. Or, if you feel powerless, you lack the will, the drive or the energy to complete projects, then it’s time to Repattern your Water Element.

The third principle is that the water needs to be the right temperature. If you’re going to take a shower and the water is frozen, then it won’t come out of the pipes. If it’s scolding hot then you can’t use it either. If you feel stuck, if you lack flow in your life, your work, your relationships, or your finances, that’s an indication that your Water Element needs balancing.

The fourth and final principle is that the water needs to be clean, clear, and pure. If the water coming out of your shower is rusty, yuck! Are you going to take a shower in that? If you’re having miscommunications, muddled thoughts, uncertainty about your next step, toxic relationships, mental confusion, that’s an indication that your Water Element could use some optimizing.

  1. I am so grateful to be alive! And I owe it to my famliy the generations before and the generations now and those yet to be. What a marvelous thing a famliy unit is in all its variety! After facilitating a session, my goal is to have more reverence and joy for my famliy unit now and not wait until everyone is doing what I think they should be doing! This is important work and I am glad to be apart of it.
